Action for blind people is a national charity that provides practical support to blind and partially sighted people through work, housing, leisure and support.
Our vision is quite simple. We believe in a world where people who are blind or partially sighted are enabled to actively participate in society and have equal access to the choices and opportunities that so many take for granted.
We are currently being funded by Redcar & Cleveland Supporting People to provide housing related support designed to help visually impaired people live in the home of their choice as independently as possible.
We can assist with:
Support with re-housing
support to obtain up to date O/T and Sensory Needs assessments
support to make their home more safe and secure
support to ensure all bills are received in chosen format
and much more.
