Action for Blind People
Action for Blind People is an expert national organisation, ensuring blind and partially sighted people get practical support in all aspects of their lives.
Action North East Middlesbrough we support visually impaired people by giving information and advise, find employment, access training, housing,source assistive technology and arrange visual awareness training for potential and existing employers. We are happy to advise other organisations on any matter regarding visual impairments.
We also offer free, confidential and impartial information on services for blind and partially sighted people of any age, also welfare rights and benefits advice. Our Actionnaires Clubs offer opportunities for children and young people to engage in sporting and leisure activities. Support with assistive technology and encourage diversity.

Connexions
Connexions is a new support service providing advice,guidance/support and personal development services for all 13-19 year olds.
Connexions is an innovative and exciting development in the world of young peoples services. It's about helping young people navigate their way through decisions about studying, jobs and careers.
It's also about helping young people get the support they need if they have personal issues. It could be supporting them if they have problems with drugs, health, money or possibly any difficulties with their home life. Connexions is for all young people, helping them make informed decisions about their futures.
Through Connexions all the services that help young people are brought together and young people are given access to a Personal Advisor, someone they can trust. The Personal Adviser (PA) gets to know the young person and can offer appropriate information, advice and support. PA's keep in close contact with the young people they are supporting. They can help smooth a young persons path through what can be a difficult time enabling them to make the most of their individual talents and abilities.

Mental Health Matters
The Grange Community Link Servixce provides a service to people with Mental Health needs. We provide drop in sessions along with a range of activities within the local community.
Individuals who access our facilities are offered a service that has a personal centred approach.
We also offer an employment scheme, Brighter Futures, which is a realistic programme taht allows adults with Mental Health needs to design their oown path towards employment.
Within our service we have a greenlight project, this project enables service users to raise their concerns, commenst about the service they receive both personally and professionally.

Princes Trust
Team is a 12 week personal development programme, which engages young people between the age of 16 & 25. Our target groups are educational under achievers, offenders and ex offenders, unemployed and those in or leaving care.
During the 12 week programme, participants learn the importance of teamwork, spend a week at a residential activity centre, undertake a project based in the local community, complete a work placement, participate in a Team challenge, usually involving caring for disadvantaged groups and stage a Team presentation, during which they recount their experiences.
The young people will work on nationally recognised qualifications, improve their motivation and confidence, develop communication skills and raise the awareness of their local community and how they can contribute to it.
